Political vs Social

The gun violence in Chicago is a favorite topic for both left and right. There were 60 shooting in Chicago over the Fathers Day weekend with 10 dead.

that doesn’t count stabbings, assaults, sexual assaults or domestic violence.

this is the press briefing;

Now please tell me again how all the protests and rioting aren’t politically motivated.
How the social anger for justice is the real cause

Larry and Moe are running for office

”Larry” Biden:

“Even Dr. King’s assassination did not have the worldwide impact that George Floyd’s death did,” Biden said with a mask dangling from his ear.

“Because just like television changed the civil rights movement for the better when they saw Bull Connor’s dogs ripping the clothes off of elderly black women who were trying to go to church, and fire hoses ripping the skin off of young kids,” he said.

Bull Connor was a Democrat and Commissioner of Public Safety for Birmingham, Alabama.

”Moe” Trump:

President Donald Trump on Friday said that while President Abraham Lincoln — who freed Black people from slavery during the Civil War while also saving the Union — did some good, the “end result” of the 16th president’s actions are “always questionable.”

Trump’s bizarre comment about his fellow Republican came during an interview with Fox News’ Harris Faulkner, in which the president said he had done more for the Black community than any other president, with the possible exception of Lincoln.

“So, I think I’ve done more for the Black community than any other president, and let’s take a pass on Abraham Lincoln, cause, he did good, although it’s always questionable,” Trump told Faulkner

Floyd has a greater impact than MLK death…..

Trump has done more for Blacks than Lincoln freeing the slaves…Lincoln ”questionable”

I’m getting worried about who is going to come after these Yahoo!’s

Did Trump have a stroke?

https://youtu.be/7pYoPCBGC0c

His right arm seems to not be working correctly. When he is walking down the ramp, his right arm is not swinging at all.

When taking a drink, his right arm can’t get to his mouth without using his left.

I know he’s old, but that’s not normal.

Trumpblind Followers

I don’t hold Trump in contempt at all, he is who he has always been
I hold trump brown shirts in contempt. Everything Trump says or does is Gospel. If you don’t agree you’re attacked.

a thinking person can disagree with Trump, a trumpblind follower can’t stand that. Never actually answers anything, trumpblind followers still will fight rather than admit the Rocky poster with Trumps face was doctored. They will forget, ignore, or deflect anything less than adoration and unconditional acceptance. That’s stupid.

there are a great many “lessor evil” voters, nothing wrong with that, I’m not one. I think voting for the lessor evil got us in the spot we are in.
Trump is, in every possible measure, a fiscal and social moderate democrat. If that’s ok with you because he isn’t Biden, go ahead and vote for him.

Every democrat in my lifetime was going to “destroy the constitution and turn America into a third world country, destroy everything good and holy in the country.”
most important election in…..years, decades, lifetime, history of our country, history of the world, etc, etc

So far we’re still here. The democrooks get as much of their campaign crap done as the Republicans do.
Little to nothing, so why sit on the edge of your seat in fear of losing everything the talking heads tell you (On both sides) that are in “grave and present danger” if xxxxxxxx gets elected.

a trumpblind followers hears about something stupid Trump says and points to ….fakenewsdeepstateswamprinosocialisthillaryliverbidenvotertrumphaterantiamericansadloser

most people will have a moment of awareness. Trump will say something and you will think about it and say…”no, that’s crap”

it may be something you personally know about (how a state Phone call happens, gun laws, building walls on the border) or he may attack someone you know for yourself is a great and America loving leader of men, a person who has a long history of faithful conservatism, a military leader with chops nobody can touch. Getting trashed as everything but a good person.

and the trumpblind will forget years of history of the person and jump in with both feet, branding them with viscous lies and blatant bull crap because…….Trump

that’s a trumpblind follower and yes, I hold them in contempt.

so should you, because they are making all of us look like mindless morons (a lot like Obama followers were)

that’s my opinion, my viewpoint. I personally know some people trashed for having the balls to disagree with Trump. And had their careers destroyed for serving their country with an egomaniac.

that doesn’t make me a democrat, Biden voter, Hillary lover, socialist, liberal, RINO, swamp, deep state, or any other attack from the ignorant fools.

Trump will not destroy the GOP, the Trumpers might. Because when Trump is out (Jan 2024) he will not fade away and the followers will not vote for anybody without the giant T endorsement.
splitting the right and maybe giving the Dems power for years. They will cry to the GOP about satisfying them and “winning them back” while comparing every possibility with the Trump scale of MAGAness.
This conservativeRepublican will not be picking up a hammer and nails to rebuild the bridges they have burned behind them.

They can grow the hell up or buy a subscription to Trump TV, Trump News Network, The Sirius Trump Channel, the Trump podcast network (All expected witching 9 months of retirement from office) And sit ‘n spin for all I care.

we don’t need them, we will recover.
And btw, the vastly overwealming majority of the Republicans in DC and State Capitals can’t wait for this loudmouth POS to be out of office.

take it for what it’s worth, As much as anybody else’s

Ahmaud Arbery & What Professionals Have Told Me About When You Should Shoot a Man

John Hawkins

Long story short, Ahmaud Arbery was in a neighborhood in Georgia. Apparently, he walked into an empty house under construction and looked around and then was shortly thereafter seen running down the street. Was he jogging? Was he running for some other reason? We don’t know for sure, but some local geniuses, one of whom was an ex-cop, were alerted to his presence and thought he could be the guy who had stolen something in the area previously. So, they grabbed their guns, got into a couple of pick-up trucks, chased the guy down and cornered him. Some people have tried to deny that they cornered him, but when you’re on foot and armed men are in front and behind you in cars, then move to block your path, that fits the bill. After a man with a shotgun moved into Arbery’s path, there was a struggle for the weapon, and Arbery was shot to death. Then there seems to have been some local corruption that kept the killers from being arrested before trial, but that appears to have been sorted out.

Now, I have seen a few hot takes on Twitter that try to justify this killing in a variety of ways. They’ve called it a “citizen’s arrest,” have said it was justified if Arbery was the one stealing, have said it was justified by Arbery trespassing on a construction site and even claimed that the men that chased him down, cornered him and later shot him to death were acting in self-defense.

Quite frankly, these are all ludicrous ways of looking at it. Just imagine living in a world where any group of yahoos who thinks you MIGHT HAVE committed any crime feels empowered to chase you down the street with guns and then shoot you to death without having to face legal consequences because they were “just defending themselves” if you try to fight back. That’s the bizarro world the people defending this apparently want to live in.

Despite how ridiculous that is, I do get why some people might think that way. They’ve grown up watching cheap and easy gun violence on TV and in the movies. On TV, you take a bullet in the arm, you just wrap it up and go on. It barely even slows you down. Cops blow people away and you never hear from their crying families. There’s no questioning of whether they made the right call. There are no innocent bystanders hit as they spray bullets everywhere. Their friends even get shot to death and 5 minutes later, they seem just fine. Usually, there are no meaningful consequences of any kind. Life just goes on as it did before. That’s not how it works in the real world.

A few years back, I flew to Nevada so I could train at (deleted) which is one of the best firearms training institutes in the United States. Cops train there (one was my partner for part of the time I was there). FBI agents train there. They teachpeople to handle everything from an Uzi to tactical scenarios to defensive driving.

The instructors were RIDICULOUSLY good and as an added bonus, at night we were lectured about WHEN we should use a gun. You might think that people that good with a gun were ready to use one at the drop of a hat. However, that’s not true at all.

In fact, the one thing they hammered into us over and over again is that every time you point a gun at another human being and pull the trigger, it has potentially life-changing consequences. That is EVEN IF YOU’RE RIGHT. Let’s talk about some scenarios they discussed with us.

For example, imagine you’re at an ATM machine. Someone wearing a hoody walks up behind you. You turn around, he says he has a knife in his pocket and will stab you unless you give him all your money. You pull out your gun. He keeps coming forward and you put 2 in his chest. Then, when the cops arrive, you tell them he had a knife, they check him and….there’s nothing. It turns out, he was just bluffing when he claimed he had a knife. Oh, and it also turns out that he’s 15. The next day, the local newspaper runs a story, “Local man shoots unarmed 15-year-old to death.” His parents are demanding you be charged. The police haven’t charged you… yet, but you think they just might and you have to hire a lawyer. It’s expensive, drags on for months and you feel like your reputation is damaged with a lot of people and there’s no way to fix it. Did you have the right to defend yourself? Absolutely. Were you right to shoot the kid in that situation? Yes. It STILL turns your life into a mess.

Imagine another scenario. Someone breaks into your house and confronts you in your living room. You feel like you’re in danger and can’t retreat, so you fire off a shot at him. You don’t hit him and he runs. Everything worked out okay, right? Not so much. Because unfortunately, your shot went through your window, into the neighbor’s window and hit their 5-year-old child between the eyes. Now, the kid is dead. You can almost write the headline in the local paper, can’t you? Then, there’s the civil suit from your neighbors, who used to BBQ with you, but now hate your guts like the rest of the neighborhood. Meanwhile, you can’t sleep at night because you killed a beautiful little child who used to play with your kid and wave at you on your way to work.

Incidentally, this is easier to do than you might think because in a high-pressure situation, your brain often doesn’t work normally. For example, one of the training exercises I went through at Front Sight was held in a house. The assumption was supposed to be that my family was inside, multiple armed men had stormed the building and that there was no time to wait for the police. I had to avoid getting shot, clear the house, kill the bad guys (these were targets holding guns that could be anywhere), and keep my family safe. I had never been in the house before and I went in using LIVE ammo with an instructor directly behind me with his finger through my belt loop. Afterward, when I looked at how I did, my instructor asked why I shot one particular bad guy target through the throat, which was right next to a helpless young hostage, instead of through his face, which was more clear of the innocent victim. Do you know what the answer was? In that highly stressful, you may have to turn the corner and fire at any given moment in any situation… I saw the bad guy and his gun, but I NEVER EVEN SAW HER. She wasn’t a threat, so my mind just blocked her out. If I’d been an inch to the right, I would have put a bullet through her head without even realizing she was there.

So, what’s the point? The point is that you need to be very certain of what you’re doing before you aim a gun at another human being. In fact, our instructors told us that if someone were robbing their living room and they were in the bedroom, they would lock the door and call the police rather than confront them because of the potential ramifications of having to kill someone. Granted, they also said if their wife and kids were on the other side of the house, whoever was robbing their house was going to die. They weren’t risking their family, but they also weren’t going to kill someone over “stuff.”

If you have no choice other than to protect yourself, your family, or other civilians (in, for example, a mass shooter situation), do what you have to do, but make sure that’s the situation you’re in. Don’t look for trouble, don’t shoot unless it’s a life or death situation and whatever you do, don’t be the moron chasing after some guy who MIGHT HAVE committed a minor crime with a gun so you can make a “citizen’s arrest.”

Engineer at Port of Los Angeles Tried to Derail Train Into USNS Mercy

A train engineer employed by the Port of Los Angeles intentionally “ran a locomotive at full speed off of the end of the railroad tracks” in an attempt to derail it into the USNS Mercy Navy hospital ship. Eduardo Moreno, 44, of San Pedro was arrested Wednesday morning by federal authorities on one count of train wrecking.

“[O]n his first interview with the Los Angeles Port Police, Moreno claimed he did it because he was suspicious of the Mercy and believed “it had an alternate purpose related to COVID-19 or a government takeover.”

In a second interview with FBI agents, according to the Department of Justice, Moreno stated that “he did it out of the desire to wake people up,” and that the ship was suspicious “and did not believe the ship is what they say it’s for.”

After running off the tracks, the locomotive crashed through numerous barriers and came within 250 yards of the ship. Fortunately no one was hurt and the ship was not damaged in any way, but the locomotive leaked “a substantial amount of fuel oil, which required cleanup by fire crews and hazmat personnel, according to authorities.” Video of the incident shows Moreno in the cab, holding a lighted flare.

Moreno then attempted to flee the scene, but a California Highway Patrol officer who’d seen the crash caught and arrested him. A document from the Department of Justice says:

“When the CHP officer contacted Moreno, he made a series of spontaneous statements, including, ‘You only get this chance once. The whole world is watching. I had to. People don’t know what’s going on here. Now they will.’”

The Port of Los Angeles Police and the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force are leading the investigation.

On Trump

I’m not a Never Trumper, not an Anti Trumper, not a Swamper, not a RINO

I am at best agnostic about Trump

I am a hardcore conservative Republican. I always have been since before I could vote for Reagan in ‘80. I’m not into personality, I’m into policy and action. Reagan was as close to hero worship I have come.

Trump is a joke, he’s a punchline. I don’t know if it’s more Archie Bunker or P.T. Barnum, but he is a showman that Billy Mays would have been envious of. His trash talk is legendary as well as his thin skin and childish reaction rants.

But he ours, he’s what we got right now, and he has some things that concern me.

He is not conservative. He told us during the primary “I’m not a conservative, I’m a Republican”. He is not pro life, pro gun, spends like a Democrook. I haven’t heard the word ‘deficit’ since the 2016 election and its huge (to coin a term) if the definition of RINO is “Republicans in name only” then Trump is the embodiment of it.

He is all show, all about his brand. Greatest, unmatched wisdom, stable genius, most, best, biggest EVAR!!!

And thats ok, it’s who he is. The tax cuts (mine increased) are temporary for us, permanent for the corporations. This may have been the Party’s idea and the current trend of “keep voting for us or the tax cuts will go away” style of campaigns.  I understand that, it’s a manipulation the Democraps used for years. I don’t like it, but it is what it is.

what worries me are the believers.

We made fun of the Obama faithful. When he made his 57 States remark they did everything to include counting Commonwealths and Territories to try and get to 57 so that he wasn’t wrong. Over and over, corpseman, clinging to guns and bibles, pictures of rainbows from his hands, halos, Roman columns, etc

we laughed and made memes and joked about the church of Obama.

Now we have our own people, some of the same ones that laughed at the Obamaites, searching foreign language dictionaries to find ‘covfefe’, memes af riding bears in shining armor waving a flag, tough guy that’s 100 lbs slimmer and Melania with bigger boobs and no pouch, biggest, greatest, EVAR!!!

And if nothing can be found to justify or excuse then….he’s just trolling the left, making heads explode, brilliant, genius.

And if you aren’t  completely, full throatedly, MAGA screaming, Trump Uber Ales……then by default you are attacked as an America hating, swamp creature, Deep State communist operator, never Trumper, fake news, Hillary lover, RINO, establishment, globalist.

Nothing in between, one or the other. Attack with us or be attacked. If you’re not beside us, you’re against us.

I hear today and most likely will for days that Bagdadi was much, much bigger target than Bin Laden. (I’m glad he’s dead, we have excellent people, don’t get me wrong) but the story is getting bigger and bigger. Whimpering and crying, ran into a tunnel with no end (that’s called a cave) much more important that Bin Laden, etc, etc

In January 2025 (hopefully) he is going to leave office and leave the place to Pence/Haley (again hopefully)

The weeping and wailing, gnashing of teeth is going to be off the charts. Trump TV will start (with a paid subscription) the Trump brand will be huge, greatest, biggest, in history of the universe.

Thin skinned, whining, ranting, knee jerk attacks, blind loyalty demands, deep seated need for continuous praise and adoration from everyone around him. Soprano parody of an administration can end

And we can get back to an approximation of statesmanship. Policy not based on brand. Slightly smaller ego’s

Croc and Elephant

A fight between an elephant and a crocodile in Africa ended in both creatures dying. But what shocked onlookers is that the massive mammal landed on top of the crocodile, flattening the reptile in the process.

A photo of the bizarre sight was posted to Kafunta Safari’s Facebook page and it was deemed an “extremely strange situation,” with authorities called in to investigate.

“The park authorities were called (to investigate death of elephant and eventually remove the tusks) and they suspect the elephant was injured and the croc was following it, when the elephant collapse while trying to climb the bank of the river,” Kafunta wrote on Facebook. “Squashing the croc. Very strange. The park authorities didn’t find any trace of human foul play in regards to the elephant’s death.”

On Mary

As we celebrate the Assumption of Mary, I thought it would be good to repost this. The Genetics of the Lord.

On Mary

 With the honoring of the Immaculate Conception this last Saturday, I’m submitting this post again;

On Mary
(A look at the genetics of The Lord)

Few things are as contentious as Mary. Her position, importance, and place in the history of the church.
But I want to take a look in a fresh way at Mary and her history. God does things in a very methodical way, layer upon layer and precept upon precept. Laying a foundation and building on it one step at a time in a logical manner. Could He have snapped His fingers and made His wishes instantly? Yes, but that is not how He seems to do things.
Let’s go all the way back to the Garden of Eden and the creation of Adam. Where does Adams DNA come from? From God of course, it was designed and created by Him for modern mankind. It was developed complete and without corruption. Adam had full genetic expression, perfectly functional and without error.
When the time came for the creation of Woman, God didn’t go back to the dust of the Earth but took a rib from Adam. Why the rib?
What is in the rib but bone marrow. The genetic structure of the DNA of the host. Stem cells, RNA etc.
God took Adam’s DNA from the marrow and genetically modified it into the female version of his DNA, XX from XY, and created the woman. (God didn’t call her Eve, “they” were Adam. Mankind in male and female form, the species of Man) Thats why Adam said upon seeing her “this is bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh” (Genesis 2:23)
As much as I love and adore my wife she is not bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh. Thats a child not a spouse. She was literally of his bone and flesh,
male and female.
After the Fall (which is a whole other topic) corruption (sin) entered into the genetic structure of mankind. All the talk of the “sons of God entering into the daughters of man” notwithstanding (again, another topic) the genetic structure of man became corrupt until the point where “the thoughts of man were only evil continually” but Noah was “perfect in his generations” (Genesis 6:9) his DNA was not corrupted to the point of irreparable. So God saved Noah and his sons and his daughters in laws. (That will be important later)
We hear no more about the sons of God after the flood. All the corrupted DNA was purged and the Plan started again fresh with Noah’s DNA.
Dr. Rob Carter does great work on the genetics after the fall. With a study titled “Mitochondrial Diversity within Modern Human Populations” in his lecture series “Mitochondrial DNA and the Three Daughters of Noah”
As he focuses a great deal on the Tower of Babel and the effect on genetic diversity.
Eventually Abraham was called from his land and led away. After receiving the Promise of being the father of a great nation and the Covenant between God and Man through Abraham he was told of his upcoming son. After Abraham had Ishmael with Hagar, God rejected him and told Abraham that he will have a son by Sarah. (Genesis 17:19) And the others were sent away.
When Isaac was born and old enough to marry he was told not to marry local women but to take a wife from the family line. (Important) Sending a servant to find a wife from the family and returning with her.
When Isaac and Rebecca had children they were the twins, Jacob and Esau.
The boys looked very different. (Important)
Esau married local women but Jacob was sent to take a wife from the family line of his mother (mitochondrial line) and wed Leah and Rachael. Scripture states that “Jacob I have loved, but Esau I have hated” (Romans 9:13)
The sons of Leah and Rachael were the influential tribes of Israel. The lessor tribes were the sons of the handmaids. The tribe of Judah was chosen even though he was not the firstborn or by any means the most moral. Why was not the tribe of Joseph the chosen tribe? He was the moral and upstanding son of Israel.
Joseph was given a wife by Pharaoh, not from the line of Israel. His sons were to receive an inheritance but were not important or influential compared to Judah or Levi.
When Israel and the brothers were introduced to Pharaoh, Joseph told them not to tell him the are shepherds as the are an abomination to the Egyptians.
They then told Pharaoh that they were shepherds. Separating themselves from the Egyptians and inadvertently (or by direction) segregated their line and culture from the local peoples. (Genesis 46:34-47:4)
When the son of Judah took Tamar as a wife he died without a son. The law said that his brother should marry and raise sons with his widow. But the son refused (a polite way to put it) and God killed him as well. When Judah promised his youngest son to Tamar but was later not given to him she took action on her own. Was this at Gods direction? Was her Mitochondrial DNA important to the Plan? I believe so. Remember that Tamar is listed in the genealogy of The Lord. (Genesis 38:6)
When Moses’s story begins and the people are led from captivity the people are a much more numerous but distinct people. When the law is given it is very explicit about marrying outside of the people of Israel. Keeping the genetics pure and on track. Upon the entry into the Promised Landwe are introduced to Rahab. We don’t know her genealogy but she was from Jericho and helped the Israelites enter the city. She later converted to Judaism and traditionally married one of the spies sent into Jericho. She is also listed in the genealogy of The Lord. (Joshua 6:25)
The book of Ruth is during this time and her mitochondrial DNA is also added to the narrative via Boas. The grandfather of David.
The book of Judges list all the times the people of Israel fell short of these laws, many times with marriages and religions outside of Israel. Again and again God sent judges to return the people to Him and His law until he gave them a king. The long story of the rise of David notwithstanding, lets look at him. David was not the firstborn of Jesse, and was different in appearance to his brothers. (Important) David was smaller and we are told he had a “ruddy” completion. But he was told that through his line the Messiah would come.
David married many women from different peoples but his line would be from Solomon, his mother Bathsheba was known for her uncommon beauty. (Genetics again)
Ten tribes were separated including the tribes of the handmaids and Israel was reduced to Judah and Benjamin. Benjamins land was within the borders of Judah. After many twist and turns, wars and idolatry, faith and falling of the Israelites. They are sent into captivity.
There are many stories about the captives keeping with their faith and returning to God. After the return of the captives and the rebuilding of the temple there is not longer any problem of idolatry amongst the people of Israel. In fact when Ezra returns and rebuild the nation, he is very distressed about the men marrying local women. After discussion and prayer, Ezra orders the men to put away their foreign wives and (important) their children. And take wives of Israel. Restoring the genetic line. (Ezra 9:1-10:44)

What was God trying to do this whole time?

Step by step, generation by generation, God was selectively breeding his people. Remember Noah’s daughter is laws, they were not perfect in their generations as Noah was. Noah’s sons were genetically correct but the daughters were not. We ate told that mitochondrial DNA can be traced back farther than nuclear DNA. This is because it is traced back through the daughter to Eve. Nuclear DNA goes back to Noah. Thus the adjustments to the mitochondrial (mothers) DNA through Tamar, Rahab, and Ruth.
God was rebuilding, a little at a time, logically, step by step the original DNA of Adam and Eve. Separating distinct people and then distinct individuals. Massaging the genetics of the people until he finally got to…Mary.
I don’t believe God sat on his throne and said it was time for His Son to come into the world then look down on the crowd in Israel and pick Mary at random. She was prepared and designed for this time.
When Gabriel came to Mary he said “full of grace” as a greeting. There had not been a salvation yet, how could she be full of grace. When he told her that the Holy Spirit would come upon her and she would bear a son.

No, God did not rape Mary, The Holy Spirit didn’t molest Mary, aliens didn’t inseminate Mary. Thats modern mans foolishness.

God did the same thing that he had done with Adam. He modified her DNA and inseminated her with a male version of her own, original, DNA.
That is what God meant in the Garden when he told the serpent that He would put enmity between him and her “seed”. Woman doesn’t have seed, men do, women have the egg. How can she have seed? he also didn’t say “woman’s seed” but “her” seed, referring to Eve as an individual. Mary was genetically the same as Eve. And a male version of her DNA was the same as Adam’s. Fulfilling Gods word from the beginning. (Genesis 3;15)

Points to consider:
St Paul refers to Jesus as the last Adam. (1 Corinthians 15:47)

One of the criticisms of the Church is that the traditional image of Jesus doesn’t look like a typical Jewish man of the era. Why should he, he was not the same as them genetically, he probably looked a lot like Adam

The Church has described Mary as the Immaculate Conception, the pinnacle of Creation, and teaches that she was born without original sin. I’ll quote Pope Pius IX;

In 1850, Pope Pius IX taught that all Catholics must accept an ancient Christian belief about Mary, the mother of Jesus: that God granted her a kind of baptism at her conception.
Since God stands outside of time, He could give her the graces of Christ’s redemption in advance. So when she was born, she was just like Adam and Eve at their creation: free of original sin.

The only people born without original sin were Adam and Eve…

And Mary
